SUMMER 2017 NEWQUAY COACHING

TRAINING FEES FOR ALL SESSIONS ARE £1 for members and £1.50 for non-members.

INTRODUCTORY GROUP led by Jo Williams, assisted by Julie Howe

Catering for years 4 to 7 starting at 5.30pm (to 6.30pm) Thursdays at Tretherras School playing fields. Session includes general running and fitness, some technical tuition and sports games.

Note: From 2nd November 2017, the group will move indoors at Newquay Sports Centre (Badminton Courts) 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

MIDDLE DISTANCE GROUP led by Paul Wright (Newquay Road Runners) Catering for years 4 upwards starting at 5.30pm (to 6.15pm) Tuesdays and 5.30pm (to 6.30pm) Thursdays at Newquay Sports Centre. Sessions includes all aspects of distance and middle distance training. Please arrive by 5.20pm for warm up.

Note that if athletes fall outside the school years listed, they must seek the coach’s permission before attending sessions.

Note that athletes under the age of eight are not covered by the club’s insurance and any athlete thus attending must be accompanied by their parent throughout the whole session.

Catering for years 4 to 7 starting at 5.30pm (to 6.30pm) Thursdays at Newquay Sports Centre. Session includes general running and fitness, some technical tuition and indoor sports games. It is advisable to bring a change of trainers, for moving from outdoors to indoors.

Note: Winter sessions start on Thursday, 2nd November 2017 and will continue throughout the Winter until Thursday, 29th March 2018.

SPRINTS/HURDLES/JUMPS

Currently there is no provision at Newquay for athletes above year 7 who wish to do sprints, jumps or hurdles and they are advised to speak to Larry Garnham for details of such sessions at Par Track.
